We at IndiCure do understand that you have a number of questions and concerns before you decide to undergo plastic surgery abroad. We have tried to address a few of your concerns through these questions. Feel free to contact us for any more queries or concerns.

Is it safe to have cosmetic surgery in India?

It is quite normal to be concerned about your safety when on cosmetic surgery holidays abroad, especially when you read about bad stories about plastic surgery gone wrong. Just as it happens in UK, US, Australia or anywhere else in the world, where the cosmetic surgery was not a success, there stands a chance that it is not successful anywhere else in the world. This is the reason why you have to be sure you are guaranteed safe plastic surgery abroad secured by pre-operative tests, qualified plastic surgeon and cosmetic surgery clinic with 0 MRSA rate.

It is thus very important to choose the right provider for cosmetic surgery holidays in India to make sure that you are in safe hands and you make the best of your trip to India.

When deciding about your provider for plastic surgery abroad or cosmetic surgery holidays abroad in India, check out the reputation of the provider and make sure that the entire sojourn is well organized giving your health the foremost priority.

How IndiCure makes sure I am in safe hands and my health is the foremost thing?

IndiCure has internal checks and guideline to ensure great quality cosmetic surgery results and happy clients. We clearly state that all types of surgery carry some risk and also the risk of complications with us are no higher than surgery at home.

In fact, our experience says that we have a higher percentage of satisfied clients than cosmetic surgery at home because we make sure that complications do not arise in first place. We do this by:

- Choosing to work with the most skilled and experienced surgeons, specialists, clinics and hospitals, whose history of complications is nil.

- Selecting the right patient for the surgery. We and our surgeons assess every patient’s medical history, physical and mental status before we ask you to travel abroad for cosmetic surgery. We advice patients not to undertake surgery who we feel are at high risk for complications. We help patients with extra medical care or intervention that is warranted for safer plastic surgery.

- Excellent post operative care- we keep our patients under medical supervision at the clinic or hospital during the acute recovery period and allow them to be released only after we feel that they can be on their own. We also advice you to stay in town for a week to ten days post surgery to make sure things are progressing well. Our surgeons also see you for follow up appointments during these days.

There are other providers offering cheap cosmetic surgery than you. Why is the difference?

You may surely come across companies offering cheap plastic surgery in India than what IndiCure is offering. However, we advise our clients not to fall prey to few of these companies and look for reviews of previous patients and reputation of the company before you jump to sign on a procedure with them. The cheapest plastic surgery may not always be the best solution.

You may find difference in the cost because of:

Surgeon's experience- IndiCure works with only the most experienced and skilled surgeons, whose work and results we have seen. An experienced cosmetic surgeon charges a premium for surgery rather a new or inexperienced surgeon.

All inclusive costs- Compare clearly as to what is included and excluded in the quote given to you.

Clinic/ Hospital- Check out which clinic or hospital would your surgery be performed in. The cost of surgery in a good hospital and clinic is always higher than a substandard facility.

Location- Check with the provider where is the facility located in India- whether there is a direct flight or you have to hop flights or travel by road to reach the destination. It is preferable to get the surgery done in a metro or big city than a small town as you have various options of surgeons, facilities and places of interest like shopping, recreation or tourist spots.

Beware of fraud companies- There are fraud companies which offer low prices before you start on the trip but either change the cost on reaching India or offer substandard facilities. It is important to check the reputation of the company before you sign with anyone. Always look for reviews. A good and reputable company would not shy away from giving you ample references of their past clients to check for its reputation.

To believe the promises that you are offered cheapest cosmetic surgery abroad with the best plastic surgeon or cosmetic surgery clinic is a bit naive.

IndiCure does not aim to offer cheap plastic surgery abroad, rather affordable cosmetic surgery abroad with the best cosmetic surgeons in India. We are proud in providing quality cosmetic surgery to our esteemed clients from across the globe.

Are the cosmetic surgeons abroad in India highly qualified and experienced?

IndiCure chooses to collaborate only with the most renowned and best cosmetic surgeons in India. We only associate with surgeons who:

How will my concerns and fears of availing surgery in a foreign land be addressed?

We fully understand the apprehensions and concerns when you are choosing to get your surgery away from home. We strongly urge everyone to ask questions that concern them most and only make the final decision once you are satisfied with the answers.

We at IndiCure extend patient ears to what you say and do our best to give you an un-biased opinion and always try to provide you with all the relevant information to the best of our knowledge and experience. We urge you to openly communicate with previous clients to make an informed choice.

Why is the cost of cosmetic surgery much less in India? Will I not compromise quality for the better price you offer?

The quality of the services we offer is amongst the very best in the world.

The fact that the cost of cosmetic surgery is less in India is because of largely two reasons:

Low cost of endowment in India - Qualified doctors, surgeons, nursing staff, lower investments costs, subsidies by government to private healthcare sector are more as compared to other countries.

An exchange rate regime, which is favourable to India: (indicative rates only, may not be currently applicable) -The exchange rate makes plastic surgery abroad to India quite favourable. You can buy quite a few Indian rupees for your currency, which makes the proposition of availing cosmetic surgery abroad quite favourable for Westerners.

1 USD= 55 Indian rupees
1 GBP= 85 Indian rupees
1 Euro= 70 Indian rupees

Why should I travel with IndiCure - surely it is cheaper to do it all myself?

You are mistaken if you think it would be cheaper to do it by yourself. One, because we have specially negotiated prices with various clinics and service providers, and second, because you would end up spending more time and effort in finding out and choosing the best surgeon and facility for you. • We will transfer you to a recuperation accommodation facility, which on your choice can be a serviced apartment with full facilities in a truly home environment, or a star rated hotel of choice.
  • We call or visit you daily during your stay ensuring that all your personal and post-operative needs are addressed.
  • We will arrange for your inland transfers for your post-operative consultations with the surgeon.
How do you handle follow-ups once I am back in my home country?
  • You will be required to stay in the town of surgery for an appropriate period depending on the recuperative procedure, thus ensuring that you are on the correct healing path.
  • We urge you to keep in touch with us once back home, as your continued healing process is important to us. We use email as an effective feedback and follow up system.

I am travelling alone. What if something goes wrong?

IndiCure is always a call or an e-mail away from you for any communication. With our access to medical and support facilities, we will try to mobilize required resources/ facilities to alleviate your concerns to the best of our abilities. Thus, we vow to be your 'professional friend' as well, in a city away from home.

  • We encourage you to ask as many questions, identify the risks involved with the procedures, and make an informed choice thereafter.
  • We ensure that patients are kept in hospitals for minimum of 24 hours post the operation (for most of in-patient surgeries), as 24 hours is the time when medical complications can occur.
  • We require you to stay in the city of surgery for a minimum period as suggested by the surgeon ensuring that you have adequate postoperative consultation with the surgeon.
  • We are utmost selective in choosing our partner surgeons and medical facilities so as to make sure that chances of complications are minimized in the first place.
What insurance cover options do I have?
  • Elective surgery or any possible medical complication arising from having elective procedure is not covered by any of the insurer worldwide.
  • We do advise to avail regular comprehensive travel insurance while buying your ticket to India.
  • We only use cosmetic surgeons who have adequate Medical insurance and the necessary malpractice cover in order to operate on our overseas clients and medical tourists from around the world.
Can I combine various procedures in one visit? Is it safe to have so many procedures in one go?

It makes more sense to combine procedures if you are travelling abroad for cosmetic surgery- One because you get maximum transformation or best results in one go and second, because you save a lot of money.

That is the reason, more than 90% of our clients choose to get multiple procedures in one go. It is normally the cosmetic surgeon who determines how many surgeries you can have at one time based on your age, what procedures and how many of them you wish to combine, health and medical history. Only after he is sure that it is safe for you to undergo multiple procedures without compromising your health or outcomes, he advises to do the same.

Our surgeons would advise you to break the procedures in two or three sittings if they feel exposing you to longer anaesthesia is not good for you. You can be rest assured that you are in safe hands and no unnecessary risks are ever taken. The hospitals have the best infrastructure and have cutting edge technology and thus provide safe environment for multiple procedures.

What are the medical preconditions for surgery?

We select clients carefully as cosmetic surgery is always a serious selection process. The surgeon will carefully assess your form and may come back to you to ask you additional questions. If you have had a prior condition, we will ask you to get a medical report from your doctor.

I am a smoker - will this affect my surgery?

Smoking increases the risk of surgical problems, and interferes with the recovery process, increasing the chances of scars and complications.

It is important that you abstain from smoking at least 4 weeks prior and 4 weeks after surgery.

What happens in the case of a complication with the treatments?
